The Lost Video - ClaveKazi in Philadelphia
We got a lot of calls today from people who were wondering where the ClaveKazi Dance Company video was from Saturday's Pa'Lante party in Philadelphia .
We had all these videos from Philadelphia Salsa groups that performed but not the one of the only DC group performing at the event.
Well that problem is solved. You can watch ClaveKazi's performance if you visit today's Salsa Newsletter - it's the second video in right column.
Here's why I couldn't find the video:
Earl Rush shot the video. Last night I transferred raw footage to my computer and this morning I edited the video. When my video software, Pinnacle Studio Plus, transfers the video from my camera to my computer, it breaks-up the video into what it believes are logical segments. So I was working with about 10 different segments or so.
One of the segments started with a color bar that looked like this:
I usually don't click on segments that start with color bars because they are usually inconsequential and last for a few seconds.
But after searching everywhere for the lost video, I played every segment and finally figured out that the ClaveKazi clip started right after the color bar.
