Throw People also earned Misnomer a position as one of "25 to Watch" for 2007 in Dance Magazine. Following Misnomer's year-long residency from The Joyce Theater in 2006, Misnomer is presently awarded a year-long Skirball Center residency and commission including two NYC productions. In 2007 Misnomer has also received support and fellowships from The Yard, Summer Stages Dance, Baryshnikov Arts Center, and The American Music Center. Misnomer is the subject of a Business Week feature video-cast, about the company's work building new audiences through the creation of an online internet model. In 2006, Misnomer was the subject of a documentary by Apple Computers, drawing large numbers of new viewers to Misnomer's site, www.misnomer.org. Misnomer has recently choreographed Bjork's new video and has a commission to create a new dance on the Danish Dance Theater in November 2007.
