What is a PPV dance instruction video?
An instructional dance move or combination video consists of a series of dance steps demonstrated to music followed by a detailed breakdown and explanation of each step, move, technique and style. For our social dance series, each video clip usually consists of a dance demonstration lasting for about 15 to 20 seconds. After you watch the dance demonstration from two different angles, the dance instructors then demonstrate the move to a slow 8-count from two different angles followed by detailed explanations of how to execute each move. Each video clip ranges from 3 to 4 minutes in duration. For a visual breakdown of the components of each video clip, please visit the following page.
For what styles of dance will you create instructional videos?
We will be creating video dance moves and combinations for many different styles and forms of dance. We are starting with Salsa and we will then branch out to cover other social dances as well as performing arts dances.
Regarding your Salsa videos, will you cover on 1 and on 2?
Yes. There are different approaches to dancing Salsa. To accommodate the needs of all salsa students, we will create separate libraries of salsa video dance moves and combos on both the "1" and "2" so that you can choose the videos that best accommodate your learning needs.
For what levels of dance will you create dance instruction videos?
Dance moves and combinations will be available for all levels of dance from beginning through advanced.
How much do dance instruction videos cost?
The introductory price for dance moves and combos is $3.95 (US dollars). The price per video is less when purchased as part of a package. For example, you may want to buy 10 beginning-level Salsa dance combos. The price per combo will be significantly less than the $3.95 price when purchased separately. (Please bear in mind that prices are subject to change without notice.)
What types of videos will you create?
In addition to producing dance combinations for Salsa and other dance forms, we will create videos that focus on footwork, styling and technique. Different dance forms require that video demonstrations are delivered in specific ways. So we will accommodate the needs of each dance form when producing videos. In other words, the video formats we create for Argentine Tango will be different than the ones we create for Jazz.
What is the video format of your video dance combos?
All videos are in Microsoft Windows Media format. Each video is made available in three different file sizes to accommodate different Internet connection speeds. It is always recommended that you purchase and download the highest quality version that your Internet connection can handle. If you download the "Best" version, you will be able to watch a full-screen version of a high quality video clip.
How can I be featured in one of your dance combinations?
We are always looking for top-notch dancers who can both do an excellent job of demonstrating moves, steps, technique and styling, and can also clearly explain the moves that they perform. To learn more about how to be featured and the financial benefits of participating, please email Doug Fox.
How can my music be featured in your dance combos?
If you would like us to consider licensing your music for inclusion in our video dance combos, please email Doug Fox.
