I'm also going to experiment with the software programs for saving videos in DivX format and then upload videos to Stage6. I'll write more about this video format when I do this.

DivX is available for the OSX platform, free from the DivX's website. In recent years it has come up against a number of competitors in the 'open source' codec market including some heavy competition from the ironically named Xvid (DivX backwards).
More recently Apples own H.264 compression has provided high quality video compression. Ironically they are all based around the Mpeg 4 standard. Basically they are all the same (pretty much) in terms of quality vs file size but the user needs a copy of each codec to view the videos, not good for the user.
