Well that's really neat. Something like this could be a great resource for dance schools as it would help to differentiate one school from another and spread the word about upcoming events.

Would this added information show up on Google Maps whenever someone searches for local studios or would you have to distribute it some other way?

What you could do is go to Google Maps and create a customized map in the MyMaps tab - you'll need to have a Google account.

Then within MyMaps, you can add markers wherever you want to place them. And at each marker location, you can add text, pictures and video clips like I did. Some knowledge of HTML is helpful.

Once you are done, you can then make your map public and you can promote the link to your customized map.
